Cliff House Hotel’s team has a unique and fascinating background:

Proprietor Andrew Gosling purchased Cliff House Hotel in November 2013, as a natural progression to his hugely successful London based catering and events company, Food Show Ltd. With over 28 years of expertise in creating spectacular food and inspired events, Andrew is focused on quality, provenance and superior service, driven to create excellent modern menus and dining experiences. Under Andrew’s direction, Food Show have delivered prestigious events for British Airways, The Canadian High Commission Olympic Committee, Bank of New York and The Thames Jubilee Festival to name but a few.

As of Autumn 2015, Food Show has become the sole caterer for Lambeth Palace. And in April 2016, Food Show has become the preferred supplier for The Banqueting House and the Tower of London.

General Manager Tim Seward leads our professional team and is dedicated to service and friendliness, whilst expertly overseeing the day to day running of Cliff House Hotel. With over 20 years experience in the hotel industry, Tim’s warm welcome and superior hospitality is second to none.

Tim’s pride in, and knowledge of the local area has also led him to become a Bournemouth Chamber of Trade & Commerce Executive Director since March 2015 with specific responsibility overseeing all major events. Committee member on Bournemouth Accommodation & Hospitality Association since 2014. Was Vice chair of Southbourne on Sea Business Association from Mid 2015 to May 2017

Tim was named as an unsung hero in the 2016 Boutique Hotelier Powerlist. Was a finalist in the Unsung Hero category of the 2017 Bournemouth Tourism awards. Was the main Event Manager for the Mayor of Bournemouth 2016-2017 Cllr Eddie Coope Mayors Legends Charity Ball.

Frederick Dallot, Operations Manager

Frederick Dallot, Operations Manager, Frederic brings a wealth of experience and expertise from the hotel industry. Frederic was awarded a prestigious Acorn Award in 2012 in the Caterer and Hotelkeeper Acorn Awards. Frederic joins Cliff House Hotel having worked most recently in the high pressure, fast paced Manor Racing F1 team where he was the Hospitality Manager. Frederic has managed some exceptional hotels including Hotel 41 and Summer Lodge Hotel. And worked as Head Waiter at Jean Bardet and Auberge du Signal.

 

Cliff House Hotel recently won Bronze at Dorset Tourism Awards and also winner of Best Loved Hotels Small hotel of the year award 2016. We are also finalist for Small Hotel of the year in 2017 for Bournemouth Tourism awards.
